Dr. Abodeeb will be there to help facilitate viewing your projects. My suggestions are that you:
1. Bring a flashdrive with the video on it. There is a port on the podium marked, “iMac” where you can connect to the computer.
2. Use dropbox.
3. Email it to yourself.
Video Project
Create a video (no less than 3 minutes) on one of the operations with fractions. The video should include:
1. A demonstration of the operation using real world situations/materials.
2. A mathematical explanation of how AND WHY a particular approach to using fractions works.
3. Extra points for creativity and finesse (though you can get a 10 without these, whenever you go beyond, you will get points). This might include:
a. Compelling (accurate and illustrative) demonstrations
b. Slick video production (that helps explain your points)
c. Using especially difficult situations, numbers, or math (+2 if you take on division or multiplication WITHOUT USING THE ALGORITHM)
